Özet
The word ‘mecmua (journal of poetry)’ that means ‘accumulated/collected’ has been originated from an Arabic word root ‘cem’ which means ‘to bring together’ or ‘to collect’. As a poetry term it is a general name of a work of art which is made by collecting different poems belong to various poets. Mecmua (journal of poetry) makes an important contribution to Classical literature. Journals of poetry have an important roles: - in the revelation of poets who don’t have a distinct divan poetry and poets who aren’t being mentioned in the collection of biographies (tezkire) and of their poems - in the formation of divan poetry which belongs to poets who have enough poems to form a rearranged divan but couldn’t form it - in the idenfication of poems which don’t take part in the poets’ divan - in the solution of problems faced in publishing of divan poetry In our study a journal of poetry - belongs to Marmara University’s Rare Work Collection in the Faculty of Theology, registered with the inventory number of I0021123 (02251/021123) is going to be examined. In this regard this journal is going to be reviewed in three steps: - it is going to be presented in terms of its structure - poem’s features which are included in the journal are going to be presented - a chart including page number of poems’ first couplet, poet’s name and its verse form will be given
