Özet

Another purpose is to obtain and utilize the opinions of teachers about negative and positive results of registering the children completed 60 months to primary school in this new system. Descriptive research method was applied for this study. The study is an example of a mixed research since it contains both quantitative and qualitative research aspects. Written interview form was used as data collection tool. The universe of the research consists of all primary and secondary school teachers and administrators working in different schools of Siirt with different socio - economic and cultural level. Random sampling methods which are easily accessible were applied for the research. Nearly 35% of the 2500 teachers working in the center of the city were consulted and 535 written forms were submitted from the participants. SPSS was used for the analysis of quantitative data and content analysis was utilized for the analysis of qualitative data obtained from interview. In the light of the findings it has been determined that teachers and administrators who are the practitioners of the 4+4+4 education system think that there are both strong and weak aspects of the system and they recommend solutions for the problems of the new system.
