| dc.description.abstract | Samsun province has 4.8 % of dry bean growing area in Turkey that it is 9.339 ha and a great part of total Turkey area according to 2006 year data. It was aimed to determine the most available sowing date for dry bean in this study to increase dry bean yield which is 610 kg/ha in Samsun province already, at least to exceed Turkey’s average 1520 kg/ha.. This study was conducted in Bafra county of Samsun province in 2008 and 2009. Different experiments were established for each cultivar Zülbiye, Önceler and Şeker to determine the most available sowing date. Experiments were designed in accordance with randomized complete block design with four replications and 30 seeds/m2 sowing density. As a result of the experiments it was concluded that May 15 was the most available sowing date. | en_US |
