Abstract
Trees are members in a forest ecosystem that make important contributions to the regulation of artificial urban ecosystem. tree-lined roads, refuges and squares of cities considered to be an open and green spaces. In modern cities, landscape architecture considers benefits of physical, ecological, psychological, economic and aesthetic of trees and new plantations are applied to the point of this view. Way to achieve the intended objectives of scientific and technical framework for plantation activities, planning-design-implementation-maintenance and repair work in a coherent way, and in particular must be carried out by the relevant professional disciplines. In this study, the way the city of Van reforestation efforts implemented in recent years were evaluated. Accordingly issues observed in these areas as a problem, the principles of plant species selection, maintenance, application studies aesthetic and functional characteristics of plants were analyzed. As a result, some of the applications hasn't been made in accordance with the technical and scientific principles.
