| dc.description.abstract | In the Qur’an, while it is clearly emphasized in a way that will not allow any discussion of who the creator is and why the creation occurs, the issue of how creation is realized is not put forward with the same clarity. Some elements such as water, various derivatives and soil / mud and sperm have been pointed out in order to serve as an instrument of worship and to point out the power and might of Allah. However, the beginning of creation and how creation has been realized are not explained in an understandable manner. However, those who want to learn about the arbitrary nature of creation are also guided through the Qur’anic verses are advised to travel on earth, conduct research through experiments and observations. Thus, it was advised to those who wondered how the creation took place in the light of their understanding and scientific data of the period in which they were able to access the right information. Inspired by this verse, the first period commentators asked the people they believed that they could reach the right information in their environment and chose the way to overcome their curiosity, received answers to satisfy their own curiosities and used this information in exegesis. While the latter should not accept this information as absolute truth and update it with information sources of their own age, this was often not the case and the previous comments were blessed. Thus, the creation scenario, composed in the first period in the context of Israeli narratives was accepted in later periods. However, the messages that Allah wants to give in verses of the Qur’an constitute the subject of religion. The messages that he wants to give with the verses placed in the universe are the subject of science. These two areas are independent but complementary and explanatory for each other. Therefore, it is necessary to apply to science in matters not related to religion, such as the arbitrariness of creation, and to try to understand the issue with its data. As the scientific data is variable and constantly moving towards perfection, it is necessary to update the previous information in each cycle. One of the most important tasks of the scholars who deal with exegesis today should be to try to enlighten and understand the issues that the Qur’an does not reveal clearly in the light of scientific data. If it is possible to present papers in this symposium, a study that will contribute to updating information about creation will be put forward. | en_US |
