dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı 7. Sınıf cebir öğrenme alanında bulunan eşitlik ve denklem konusunun öğretiminde GME'nin öğrenci başarısına etkisini ve GME'ye ilişkin öğrencilerin görüşlerini incelemektir. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin bir arada kullanıldığı karma araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. GME'nin 7. sınıf denklemler konusunda öğrencilerin başarılarına etkisini incelemek amacıyla nicel araştırma yöntemi, GME'ye yönelik öğrencilerin görüşlerini incelemek amacıyla ise nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma grubunu 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılı Siirt ilinin Merkez ilçesi Alparslan Ortaokulu 7. Sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Uygulama yapılacak sınıfların belirlenmesi için okul müdüründen 7. Sınıfta okuyan öğrencilerin bir dönem önceki matematik not ortalamaları istenmiş ve öğrencilerin matematik not ortalamaları sınıf bazında incelenmiş olup matematik not ortalamalarının normal dağıldığı SPSS21 paket programı yardımıyla görülmüştür. Bu nedenle öğrencilerin not ortalamaları birbirine en yakın olan iki sınıfı almakta sakınca görülmemiştir. Araştırmacı belirlenen iki sınıf arasından deney ve kontrol grubunu belirlemek amacıyla kura yöntemine başvurmuştur. Kura sonucunda 7/A sınıfı kontrol grubu olurken, 7/C sınıfı deney grubu olmuştur. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının başlangıç seviyelerini ve matematik başarıları arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığını görebilmek için her iki sınıfa da başarı testi öntest olarak uygulanmış ve aralarında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı görülmüştür. Deney grubundaki öğrenciler GME'ye yönelik hazırlanmış olan etkinlikler ve materyaller ile ders işlerken kontrol grubu öğrenciler MEB ders kitabı tabanlı öğretim ile ders işlemişlerdir. Uygulama sürecinin tamamlanmasının ardından deney grubu öğrencilerden gönüllü olanlara "GME'ye yönelik öğrenci görüş formu" verilmiştir. Form aracılığı ile öğrencilerin görüşleri içerik analizi yapılarak incelenmiştir. Nicel veriler sonucunda deney grubundaki öğrencilerin başarılarının kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerin başarılarına göre anlamlı düzeyde arttığı saptanmıştır. Nitel veriler sonucunda ise öğrenciler matematik dersine yönelik ilgilerinin ve tutumlarının olumlu yönde etkilendiği, ön yargılarının azaldığı, eğlenerek öğrendikleri görülmüştür. dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to examine the effect of RME on student achievement in teaching the subject of equality and equations in the 7th grade algebra learning field and the views of students on RME. In the research, the wedge research model, in which quantitative and qualitative research methods are used together, was used. Quantitative research method was used to examine the effect of RME on students' achievement in 7th grade equations, and qualitative research method was used to examine students' views on RME. The research group consists of 7th grade students of Alparslan Secondary School in the central district of Siirt province in the 2021-2022 academic year. In order to determine the classes to be applied for, the school principal's mathematics grade point averages of the 7th grade students were requested from the previous semester, and the mathematics grade averages of the students were examined on a class basis, and it was seen with the help of the SPSS21 package program that the mathematics grade averages were normally distributed. For this reason, there was no harm in taking the two classes with the closest grade point averages of the students. The researcher applied the lottery method in order to determine the experimental and control groups among the two determined classes. As a result of the draw, 7/A class became the control group, while 7/C class became the experimental group. In order to see whether there is a significant difference between the initial levels and mathematics achievements of the experimental and control groups, the achievement test was applied to both classes as a pretest and it was observed that there was no significant difference between them. While the students in the experimental group were teaching with the activities and materials prepared for RME, the students in the control group taught with the MEB textbook-based teaching. After the completion of the application process, "student opinion and form for RME" was given to the volunteers from the experimental group students. As a result of the quantitative data, it was determined that the achievement of the students in the experimental group increased significantly compared to the success of the students in the control group. As a result of the qualitative data, it was seen that the interests and attitudes of the students towards the mathematics lesson were positively affected, their prejudices were reduced, and they learned by having fun.
