Günümüzde insan nüfusu dünya tarihinin gördüğü en yüksek seviyededir. Bu durum tüketimin ve üretimin sürekli olarak artış göstermesine neden olmaktadır. Üretim için doğal kaynakların kullanılması, çevrenin tahrip edilmesi çevreyle ilgili yaşamı ve gelecek nesillerin yaşamını ciddi anlamda tehdit etmektedir. 19.
