dc.description.abstractKüreselleşme kavramının sonuçları dünyanın her yerinde hissedilmekte, bu sürecin ilerleyiş hızına yetişebilmek ve onu tam anlamıyla kavrayabilmek ise her geçen gün daha da zorlaşmaktadır. İlk etapta ekonomi alanında kendi varlığını hissettiren küreselleşme yapısı zamanla kültürel, siyasi ve toplumsal alanlarda da etkilerini gösteren çok yanlı bir süreç haline gelmiştir. Çağımızda küreselleşme tüm yaşam alanlarını etkisi altına almaktadır. Dünyadaki bu köklü değişim beraberinde yeni düşünce ve hareketlerin, çeşitli tepkilerin ortaya konmasına neden olmuştur. Ortaya konan hareketlerden biri de 1989'da Slow Food'la başlamak üzere bundan 10 yıl sonra kurulan Cittaslow City yani Yavaş Şehir hareketidir. Cittaslow aslında her alanı etkileyebilen bir düşünme hareketidir. Kenti, orada yaşayan veya ziyarete gelen insanları önemsemek, çevreyi korumak, yerel ürünleri öne çıkarmak, tüm şehirlerin aynılaşmasına karşı çıkmak ve bir şehrin mimari, kültürel, siyasi veya günlük yaşam düzeni konularında sahip olduğu özgünlüğü korumak, sergilemek ve ön plana atmaktadır. Bu tez çalışması küreselleşme ve çevre sorunları karşısında kültürel ve sosyal değerlerin yok oluşunu önlemek, çevre ve yaşam kalitesini yükseltmek amacıyla başlatılan hareketin özünü, ortaya çıkış sebeplerini, gelişimini, öncülük ettiği diğer hareketleri incelerken mimari tasarım ve yaşam kalitesine etkilerini de araştırarak bilgi vermeyi amaçlayan bir çalışmadır. Son kısımda ele alınan Siirt ili Tillo ilçesi örneğinde ise; bu hareketin kriterlerine uygunluğu yönüyle; ele alınan ilçesinin, sahip olduğu özellikleri ile örtüşmesi incelenerek, Tillo'nun da Cittaslow olma potansiyelinin irdelenmesi ve bu potansiyelin kente katacağı değerlerin belirlenmesi üzerinde durulmuştur.
dc.description.abstractThe results of the concept of globalisation are felt all over the world, and it is becoming more and more difficult to keep up with the speed of progress of this process and to comprehend it fully. The structure of globalisation, which first made its presence felt in the field of economy, has become a multilateral process that shows its effects in cultural, political and social fields. In our age, globalisation affects all areas of life. This radical change in the world has led to the emergence of new thoughts and movements and various reactions. One of these movements is Cittaslow, the slow city movement, which was established 10 years later, starting with Slow Food in 1989. Cittaslow is actually a thinking movement that can affect every field. It cares about the city, the people living there or visiting, protecting the environment, highlighting local products, opposing the sameness of all cities and protecting, exhibiting and highlighting the uniqueness of a city in terms of architecture, culture, politics or daily life order. This thesis is a study that aims to provide information by examining the essence of the movement initiated to prevent the destruction of cultural and social values in the face of globalisation and environmental problems, to improve the environment and quality of life, the reasons for its emergence, its development, the other movements it pioneered, and its effects on architectural design and quality of life. In the case of the Tillo district of Siirt, which is discussed in the last section; in terms of compliance with the criteria of this movement; By examining the overlap of the district in question with its characteristics, it was emphasized that the potential of Tillo to become a Cittaslow and the determination of the values ??that this potential will add to the city.
