Özet
Bu çalışmada, Salvia hasankeyfensis Dirmenci, Celep and O. Guner'in topraküstü kısımlarından etanol ile hazırlanan (50 mg/ml) ekstraktın antimikrobiyal aktivitesi, enzim aktivitesi, DNA hasarı etkisi araştırıldı.
In this study, antimicrobial activity, enzyme activity and DNA damage effect of the extract prepared with ethanol (50 mg/ml) from the aerial parts of Salvia hasankeyfensis Dirmenci, Celep and O. Guner were investigated. In the antimicrobial activity studies, four different microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus Subtilis, Escherichia coli and Candia albicans) were used and as a result, it was seen that it had an acceptable inhibitory activity only against E. coli. These results show that although Salvia hasankeyfensis has some antimicrobial properties, it is limited in terms of scope and activity when compared to standard antibiotics such as amikacin. It was revealed that the pH values (4-4,5) and O/R potential (88,6-104,0 mV) of the extract helped microbial growth rather than inhibition. According to the enzyme activity results, it was seen that it inhibited both CA I and CA II enzymes. In DNA damage studies, it was determined that the ethanol extract of the plant caused disruption in the plasmid DNA structure.
