React stratejisinin 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına etkisi ve görüşlerinin incelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırma, Kuvvet ve Hareket ünitesinin öğretiminde REACT stratejisinin 6.sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına etkisini ve bu stratejiye yönelik öğrenci görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim döneminde Siirt ilinde belirlenen bir ortaokulda öğrenim gören 6.sınıf öğrencileri ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 20 deney grubu, 20 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 40 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Uygulama sürecinde deney grubunda dersler REACT stratejisiyle, kontrol grubunda ise dersler geleneksel yöntemle(düz anlatım, soru-cevap, tartışma) işlenmiştir. Kuvvet ve Hareket ünitesine ait kazanımlar, 4 hafta boyunca dörder saatlik program kapsamında anlatılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel yöntemlerin bir arada kullanıldığı karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi olarak ise olgu bilim(fenomenoloji) deseni kullanılmıştır. Yarı deneysel yöntemlerden ön test son test kontrol gruplu modelin kullanılacağı çalışmada nicel veri toplama araçları olarak; Kuvvet ve Hareket Başarı Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel verileri ise yarı yapılandırılmış görüş formu ile toplanmıştır. Oluşturulacak akademik başarı testi ile elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamında SPSS.21.0 programı yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu içerik analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilip, elde edilen veriler yorumlanmıştır. Uygulama öncesinde yapılan akademik başarı testi sonuçlarına göre deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencileri arasında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı ancak uygulama sonunda yapılan akademik başarı testi sonuçlarına göre deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencileri arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca uygulanan stratejiye karşı öğrencilerin görüşlerinin olumlu yönde eğilim gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.
This research was conducted to determine the effect of the REACT strategy on the academic achievement of 6th grade students in the teaching of the Force and Motion unit and to determine the students' views on this strategy. The research was carried out with 6th grade students studying in a secondary school in Siirt in the 2021-2022 academic year. The study group of the research consists of 40 students, 20 of which are in the experimental group and 20 are in the control group. During the implementation process, the lessons were taught with the REACT strategy in the experimental group, and the lessons in the control group were taught with the traditional method. The achievements of the Force and Motion unit are explained within the scope of a four-hour program for 4 weeks. Mixed research method, in which quantitative and qualitative methods are used together, was used in the research. A quasi-experimental design with pre-test post-test control group, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used. Phenomenology design was used as a qualitative research method. As quantitative data collection tools in the study, in which the pretest posttest control group model, which is one of the quasi-experimental methods, will be used; Force and Movement Achievement Test was used. Qualitative data of the study were collected with a semi-structured opinion form. The data obtained with the created academic achievement test were analyzed in computer environment with the help of SPSS 21.0 program. The semi-structured interview form created was analyzed with the content analysis method and the obtained data were interpreted. It was determined that there was no significant difference between the experimental and control group students according to the results of the academic achievement test before the application, but there was a significant difference between the students in the experimental and control group according to the results of the academic achievement test performed at the end of the application. In addition, it was determined that the students' views towards the strategy applied showed a positive tendency.
