Ortaokul matematik öğretmenlerinin matematik öğretiminde karşılaştıkları sorunlara ilişkin bir araştırma

| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul matematik öğretmenlerinin matematik öğretimiyle ilgili yaşadıkları problemlere ilişkin görüşlerini betimlemektir. Bu amaç çerçevesinde matematik öğretmenlerinin cinsiyet, kıdem ve mezun oldukları okul türü gibi değişkenler doğrultusunda, matematik öğretimiyle ilgili karşılaştıkları sorunlar ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın bu amacını gerçekleştirmek için karma yöntem tercih edilip çalışmayla ilgili ortaya atılan sorunlar için nicel ve nitel metotları eş zamanlı ve birbirini tamamlayacak biçimde beraber kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Batman il merkezinde görev yapan ortaokul matematik öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutundaki örneklemi, basit seçkisiz örnekleme ile seçilen 263 ortaokul öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Nitel kısımda ise tabakalı amaçsal örnekleme yöntemine göre belirlenen 20 öğretmene ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler betimsel istatistik metodu ile analiz yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde; tanımlayıcı istatistikler; iki değişkenli gruplar için bağımsız örneklemler t testi, üç ve daha fazla değişken gruplar için ise tek yönlü varyans analizi (One Way Anova) ve Tukey testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğretmenlerin kıdem ve cinsiyet değişkenlerine göre matematik öğretimiyle ilgili yaşadıkları problemler arasında anlamlı bir değişkenin olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu farka mezun olunan okul değişkeninde rastlanmadığı yönündedir. Nitel sonuçların nicel sonuçları destekler nitelikte olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to represent the views of secondary school mathematics teachers about the problems they experience in teaching mathematics. Within the framework of this purpose, it has been tried to reveal the problems faced by mathematics teachers in mathematics teaching in line with variables such as gender, seniority and the type of school they graduated from. In order to realize this aim of the research, mixed method was preferred and quantitative and qualitative methods were used simultaneously and complementary to each other for the problems raised in the study. The study group of the research consists of secondary school mathematics teachers working in the city center of Batman. The sample in the quantitative dimension of the study consists of 263 secondary school teachers selected by simple random sampling. In the qualitative part, 20 teachers who were determined according to the stratified purposive sampling method were reached.The data obtained from the research were analyzed with the descriptive statistical method. In the analysis of data; descriptive statistics; Independent samples t-test was used for bivariate groups, one-way analysis of variance (One Way Anova) and Tukey's test were used for groups with three or more variables. As a result of the research, it was concluded that there is a significant variable between the problems experienced by teachers in mathematics teaching according to the variables of seniority and gender. This difference is not found in the graduated school variable. It has been concluded that the qualitative results support the quantitative results. | |
