Okul sporlarına katılan ve katılmayan ortaokul öğrencilerinin sosyal-duygusal ve ahlaki gelişimlerinin incelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı okul sporlarına katılan ve katılmayan öğrencilerin Sosyal-Duygusal ve ahlaki gelişimleri arasındaki farkı incelemektir. Araştırma, nicel yöntem desenlerinden genel tarama modelinde bir betimsel araştırma olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri Van İlindeki ortaokullarda öğrenim gören 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinden toplamda 627 katılımcıya ''Sosyal-Duygusal ve Ahlaki Gelişim Ölçeği'' ile ''Kişisel Bilgi Formu'' uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Analiz sonucunda okul sporlarına katılan öğrencilerin Sosyal-Duygusal ve ahlaki gelişimlerinin okul sporlarına katılmayan öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Okul sporlarına katılım ile sınıf düzeyi, disiplin cezası alıp almama durumu, aile gelir düzeyi ve çoğunlukla büyüdükleri yer değişkenleri birlikte Sosyal-Duygusal ve ahlaki gelişim üzerinde anlamlı farklılık oluşturmaktadır. Anne ve baba eğitim düzeyi ise yalnızca Sosyal-Duygusal ve ahlaki gelişim üzerinde anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Spor yapılan süre ve spor branşlarının da Sosyal-Duygusal ve ahlaki gelişim ile ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular literatür bağlamında tartışılmış ve konuyla ilgili öneriler sunulmuştur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Okul Sporları; Sosyal Gelişim; Duygusal Gelişim; Ahlaki Gelişim
The aim of this research is to examine the difference between the social, emotional and moral development of students who participate in school sports and those who do not. The research was carried out as a descriptive study in the general survey model, one of the quantitative method designs. The data of the research were collected by applying the "Social Emotional and Moral Development Scale" and "Personal Information Form" to a total of 627 participants from 7th and 8th grade students studying in secondary schools in Van. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the social, emotional and moral developments of the students who participated in school sports were higher than the students who did not participate in school sports. Participation in school sports and the variables of grade level, whether or not they have been disciplined, family income level and mostly the place where they grew up together create a significant difference on social, emotional and moral development. On the other hand, the education level of the mother and father shows a significant difference only on social, emotional and moral development. It has been seen that the duration of sports and sports branches are also related to social, emotional and moral development. The findings obtained from the research were discussed in the context of the literature and suggestions were presented on the subject.
