Özet
Babanzâde Ahmet Naim, Osmanlı Devleti'nin son dönemleri ve Cumhuriyet'in ilk yıllarında yaşamış hadis, felsefe, ahlak ve tercüme gibi alanlarda kendini göstermiş önemli bir fikir adamıdır. Kaleme aldığı eserlere, değindiği konulara, çalış-tığı kurumlara bakarak bu sonuca varabiliriz. Derslerde okuttuğu notların bir araya getirilmesi ile oluşturduğu, Fransızca felsefe terimlerine Türkçe karşılık bulmaya çalıştığı "Felsefe Dersleri" adlı eseri ile hem felsefe hem de tercüme alanlarındaki başarısını görmek mümkündür. Sahih-i Buhari'nin tercümesine kattığı yorumlarıyla özellikle "Mukaddime" kısmıyla da hadis alanında tebarüz etmiştir. Ahmet Naim, Mutlakıyet, Meşrutiyet ve Cumhuriyet dönemlerine şahitlik etmiştir. İçinde bulunduğu dönemin sorunlarına sessiz kalmamıştır. Dönemin meseleleri üzerine İslamî perspektifle çeşitli yazılar kaleme almıştır. Kavmiyetçilik, din-devlet ilişkisi ve din-bilim çatışması döneminin en çok tartışılan konuları olmuştur. O, bu konulara Kur'an-ı Kerim, Sünnet ve İslâmî gelenek ışığında yaklaşarak sorunlara çözüm bulmaya çalışmıştır. Ayrıca onun yaşadığı dönem Yeni İlm-i Kelam olarak nitelenen bir döneme tekabül etmekteydi. Yaşadığı dönemin değişim, dönüşüm ve sorunları hakkında fikir yürüten bir âlim olarak kelâm tartışmalarına da temas etmiştir. Biz de bu çalışmamızda onun eserlerinde değindiği konulardan hareketle kelâmî görüşlerini ortaya çıkarmaya çalıştık. Böylece onun varlık, bilgi, din-bilim, akıl-vahiy, uluhiyet, nübüvvet, ahiret, iman-İslam ve imamet konuları ile ilgili düşüncelerini inceledik. Babanzâde Ahmet Naim is an important intellectual who lived in the last pe-riods of the Ottoman Empire and the first years of the Republic and showed himself in fields such as hadith, philosophy, morality and translation. We can reach this conclu-sion by looking at the works he wrote, the subjects he touched and the institutions he worked for. It is possible to see his success in both philosophy and translation with his work named "Philosophy Lessons", which he created by bringing together the notes he taught in the classes, in which he tried to find Turkish equivalents for French philo-sophy terms. It has emerged in the field of hadith, especially with the "Muqaddimah" part, with the interpretations it added to the translation of Sahih Bukhari. Ahmet Naim witnessed the Absolute, Constitutional and Republican periods. He did not remain silent about the problems of the period he was in. He wrote articles in many Islamic fields on the issues of the period. Clanism, religion-state relationship and religion-science conflict were the most discussed topics of the period. He tried to find solutions to these problems by approaching these issues in the light of the Qur'an and Sunnah. In addition, the period in which he lived corresponded to a period called the New Science of Kalam. As a scholar who speculated on the changes, transforma-tions and problems of the period in which he lived, he also touched upon the discussi-ons of kalam. In this study, we tried to reveal his theological views based on the sub-jects he touched on in his works. Thus, we examined his thoughts on the subjects of existence, knowledge, religion-science, reason-revelation, divinity, prophecy, the he-reafter, faith-Islam and imamate.
