| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to analyze the existence and quiddity relation in terms of al-Farabi's philosophy. More specifically, it was attempted to deal with this issue based on God and all the other beings. In this regard, first, al-Farabi's concept and definition theory were examined, because we believe that examining the concept and definition is the best way to attain the clearest understanding of the relation between the concepts of existence and quiddity. It is important to know where the current issue stands, which has been discussed many times in the history of Islamic philosophy in terms of Ibn Sina's philosophy within the philosophy of al-Farabi. In fact, this issue has been addressed in some modern studies as well, both directly and indirectly, in terms of al-Farabi. However, the current study was different from these studies, with regards to its method and primary source. In this sense, the origin of the relation between the concepts of existence and quiddity according to al-Farabi was dealt with in this study. | |
