Listening, one of the basic language skills, is the first language skill that a person acquires with the process that begins with birth and even in the womb. The individual learns some oral literature products from his/her family and surroundings through listening until he/she starts his/her education life. Fairy tale is also one of the products of this oral literature. It is more effective in language acquisition than other types, in perceiving the richness of the language, the state of culture reflected in the language, and in teaching. For this reason, the use of fairy tales in general and Anatolian fairy tales in particular has an important place in the teaching of Turkish. The data obtained and the results obtained in this study, in which the use of Anatolian fairy tales in Turkish teaching is examined by the method of document analysis, show that language teaching can be carried out with more permanent learning through fairy tales. The natural task that fairy tales undertake in the transfer of culture establishes the same parallel in the transmission of language, which is an important element of culture. Therefore, it is foreseen that reading, speaking, listening, writing, which are the four basic language skills targeted in Turkish teaching, and in addition to these, the grammar subjects that are planned to be explained by intuiting, will offer meaningful learning by combining them with fairy tales in general and Anatolian Tales in particular.
