'Mitoloji ile Eğlenmek' adlı kitabın biçim ve içerik yönünden incelenmesi

Özet
İnsanoğlunun evrenin oluşum sürecine yüklediği anlamla beraber ortaya çıkan mitler; erken dönemi anlatan, içinde birçok kültür unsurunu barındıran efsaneleşmiş kutsal öyküler olarak tanımlanabilir. Toplumdan topluma değişiklik gösteren kültür gibi mitler de içinde bulunduğu toplumun katkılarıyla yeni bir kimlik kazanır. Mitler; içinde yaradılış söylenceleri, didaktik hikâyeler, kahramanlık anlatıları, tarihi olaylar gibi birçok unsuru barındırır. Bu olaylar çoğu zaman insanoğlunun hayal gücü ile zenginleştirilmiş; insanüstü özelliklere sahip tanrı, peri, dev, canavar ve daha birçok varlığın macerasından oluşmaktadır. Çocuk edebiyatı ve mitoloji ilişkisine bakıldığında; anlatım zenginliği ile mitlerin çocukların hayal güçlerini besleyerek onların merak duygularını harekete geçiren birçok özelliği içinde barındırdığı görülür. Mitler, çocukları maceradan maceraya sürüklerken bir yandan da onların yaşadıkları sorunlara farklı çözüm yolları geliştirmelerine katkı sağlar. Bu açıdan çocuklar için tercih edilen kitaplarda mitoloji varlığının onların eğlendirici ve öğretici bir dünya ile tanışmalarına zemin hazırlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Çalışmada; Berta Garcia Sabates'in "Mitoloji ile Eğlenmek" adlı kitabı biçim ve içerik yönünden incelenerek çocuk kitaplarında mitolojik unsurlara yer verilmesinin çocuklar için uygun olup olmadığını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca kitap çocuk eğitimi açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma modellerinden doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, bir giriş ve üç ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümünde çalışmanın kavramsal çerçevesinden bahsedilmiştir. Çocuk edebiyatı, çocuk edebiyatının dünyada ve Türkiye'deki gelişim süreci hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Ardından çocuk edebiyatında çeviri, çocuk edebiyatı ve değer eğitimi, çocuk edebiyatı ve mitoloji konularına değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde bulgu ve yorumlara yer verilmiştir. Bulgu ve yorumlar üç bölüm halinde ele alınmıştır. Birinci kısımda kitabın biçim özelliklerinden bahsedilmiştir. İkinci kısımda içerik özellikleri incelenmiş olup kitapta yer alan yirmi sekiz öykü; özet, kahramanlar, ileti, etkinlikler ve değerlendirme şeklinde analiz edilmiştir. Akabinde bazı öykülerin birbirinin devamı niteliğinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu öyküler kendi arasında gruplandırılarak tabloda gösterilmiş ve en çok tekrar eden mitolojik kahramana ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü kısımda kitap, çocuk eğitimi açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Myths emerged with the meaning that human beings attach to the formation process of the universe; They can be defined as legendary sacred stories that tell about the early period and contain many cultural elements. Like culture, myths, which vary from society to society, gain a new identity with the contributions of the society in which they are located. Myths; It contains many elements such as creation myths, didactic stories, heroic narratives and historical events. These events are often enriched by human imagination; It consists of the adventures of gods, fairies, giants, monsters and many other beings with superhuman features. When looking at the relationship between children's literature and mythology; It is seen that myths, with their richness of expression, contain many features that nourish children's imagination and stimulate their sense of curiosity. While myths drag children from adventure to adventure, they also help them gain skills such as finding different solutions to the problems they experience and developing different perspectives. In this respect, it is thought that the presence of mythology in the books preferred for children will pave the way for them to meet an entertaining and instructive world. In the study; Berta Garcia Sabates's book "Having Fun with Mythology" was examined in terms of form and content to determine whether it is appropriate for children to include mythological elements in children's books. Additionally, the book was evaluated in terms of child education. The document review method, one of the qualitative research models, was used in the research. The study consists of an introduction and three main sections. In the first part, the conceptual framework of the study is mentioned. Information is given about children's literature and the development process of children's literature in the world and in Turkey. Then, translation in children's literature, children's literature and value education, children's literature and mythology were discussed. The second part of the study includes findings and comments. The findings and comments are discussed in three sections. In the first part, the format features of the book are mentioned. In the second part, the content features were examined and the twenty-eight stories in the book; It was analyzed in the form of summary, heroes, message, activities and evaluation. Subsequently, it was determined that some stories were a continuation of each other. These stories were grouped among themselves and shown in the table, and an attempt was made to reach the most recurring mythological hero. In the third part, the book was evaluated in terms of child education. In the third and last part of the study, results, discussions and suggestions are included.
