dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to determine the opinions of social studies teachers’ on global education, multicultural education, global citizenship and education. In the research, basic qualitative research, which is one of the qualitative research methods is used. The group of this study consists of 7 social studies teachers determined by criterion sampling method. The data was gathered from semi-structured interview form which are developed by the researcher. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. According to the findings of the research, it is determined that teachers don’t have a deep understanding of global education and multicultural education and define the concept of global citizenship according to the qualities that the global citizen should have. In addition, it was found that teachers believe in the necessity of multicultural education and global citizenship education. Teachers are aware of their responsibilities in the context of global education. It was seen that teachers adopted more student-centered understanding in global education, multicultural education and global citizenship education teaching activities in social studies course. © 2020.
