dc.description.abstractToday it is clear that businesses give importance to factors that increase employee's motivation. Recent years researches show that there is a direct proportion between employers who value its employee's motivation and business performance and productivity raising. In a hotel which is a service business, it is very important for business profit and productivity to identify factors that increase motivation, to its employees. The aim of this research is to examine what are the factors that affect employee's motivation. Also it is another aim of this research to measure whether employees, according to their demographic charasteristics, show diferrences in evaluating factors that affect motivation. Study is based on quantitative research method. Data of this research is obtained by using questionare technique. The area of this reserch is five star hotel businesses that have 200 or over rooms and open the whole year in Bodrum. Three of these hotel businesses were selected with simple coincidince sampling technique and research data have been obtained from these businesses employees. This obtained data were analyzed with SPSS 15.0 program. At the end of the research, there identified four important dimensions and these dimensions have been assessed in terms of demographic variables.
