Özet
18. yüzyılda İngiltere de meydana gelen sanayi devrimi insanlık için önemli bir dönüm noktası olmuştur. Sanayi alanındaki gelişmeler, üretim alanında yeni fikirlerin ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıştır. Bölgesel Sanayi kavramı ilk defa ABD'de gündeme gelmiş olsa bile Organize Sanayi Bölgelerinin ilk örneği İngiltere de kurulmuştur. Organize Sanayi bölgeleri; Farklı veya aynı sektörlerde faaliyet gösteren firmaların bir araya gelmesiyle oluşturdukları kümeleşme alanlarıdır. Organize Sanayi Bölgelerinin temel amacı planlı bir sanayinin yanında organize bir yapılaşmayı meydana getirmektir. Türkiye de 1960'lı yıllar da uygulamaya konulan Organize Sanayi Bölgelerinin amacı; İstihdam yaratıp işsizliği azaltmak, sanayi alanındaki yatırmaları hızlandırmak ve üretimde kalite standartlarını yükseltmek olmuştur. Dünyada organize sanayi bölgelerinin yaygınlaşması özellikle 1970'li yıllardan sonra dünya ekonomilerinde yaşanan değişimlerle birlikte, sanayi alanında gelişimini tamamlayamamış ülkelere imalat sanayinin kaydırılması ve dünya pazarı için üretim, teknoloji geliştirme, ürün pazarlama amacıyla OSB'ler yaygınlaşmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Organize Sanayi Bölgelerinin kent istihdamına katkısı; Batman ili esas alınarak, Batman Organize Sanayi Bölgesinin kent istihdamına katkısı araştırılmıştır. Çalışma neticesinde Organize Sanayi Bölgesinde faaliyette bulunan firmaların kent istihdamına katkıda bulunulduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. The industrial revolution that took place in England in the 18th century was an important turning point for humanity. The developments in the field of industry have led to the emergence of new ideas in the field of production. Even though the concept of Regional Industry came to the fore in the USA for the first time, the first example of Organized Industrial Zones was established in England. Organized Industrial zones; They are clustering areas formed by the coming together of companies operating in different or same sectors. The main purpose of Organized Industrial Zones is to create an organized structure alongside a planned industry. The purpose of Organized Industrial Zones, which were put into practice in Turkey in the 1960s was to create employment and reduce unemployment, accelerate investments in industry and raise quality standards in production. With the spread of organized industrial zones in the world, especially with the changes in the world economies after the 1970s, OIZs have become widespread for the purpose of shifting the manufacturing industry to countries that have not completed their development in the field of industry and for the purpose of production, technology development and product marketing for the world market. The aim of this study is to examine the contribution of Batman Organized Industrial Zones to urban employment. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the companies operating in the Organized Industrial Zone contributed to the urban employment.
