dc.description.abstractCâmiü’l-Envâr ‘alâ Tefsîri’l-İhlâs written in the masnavi form according to the current literature is the only verse commentary of the Ihlas sura was written by Husayn b. Ahmed Sirôzî who was a member of the Khalwatiyya tariqa. In this masnavi, which was comprimised from 10,912 couplets, apart from the commentary of Ihlas sura; there were menakıbs about the religious leaders, apparent and esoteric meanings of the names of Allah, importance of pray and dhikr, divine love, heaven and hell, seyr ü sülûk (training the soul), self and its stages, which were linked with the sufism were described. While doing this apart from the Ihlas sura many sura, ayats and hadiths were used as an evidince to the described. In the first part of the study information is given about the life of the poet, his connections with his tariqa and his two works in verse, Câmiü’n-Nasâyih ve Câmiü’l-Envâr ‘alâ Tefsîri’l-İhlâs by using the Bursalı Mehmet Tahir's books Ahlak Kitablarımız and Osmanlı Müellifleri. Câmiü’l-Envâr which constitute's the main subjetct of the study is examined in the second part. In this part the manuscript is described in detail, the verse forms used in the text, the number of the couplets are shown. After this, the work is analyzed in terms of the content. While doing this two sub-titles named as "The Commentary of Ihlas Sura in The Work" and "Sufist and Moral Subjects in the Work" constituted by taking account of the content. Language and spelling features were described in the subsequent subtitle. Mistakes caused mainly by the transcribers and suffixes of Old Anatolian Turkish which were not used in the 16th century were identified. A comparision is made with the Kitâb-ı İzhâr-ı Ehâdiyyet a prose comment of Ihlas sura which shows great similarities in terms of content with the Câmiü’l-Envâr. After this we pass to the last part of the study. In the conclusion the importance of the work in the development of the Turkish language and especially for our sufi culture is evaluated.en_US
