Özet

The purpose of this research is to get opinions of students who are teacher candidates and study faculty of education, on the use of creative drama as a method in primary education. In line with this goal, descriptive research has been applied; qualitative research methods have been used. In the research, written interview form has been used as a data collection tool. The study population consists of students who study faculty of education in Siirt University, and the sample group consists of students who study classroom teacher department in the same faculty. In the study it is tried to obtain opinions of 150 classroom teacher candidates in a written form. Research has been carried out in two phases. In the first phase, “the general opinions” of students of classroom teacher department “about creative drama” has been collected in a written form in the first class of “Drama in Primary” titled undergraduate course. In this way, it is aimed to determine the knowledge and opinions of students about creative drama before taking the course. In the second phase, the opinions of students of classroom teacher department about “method of drama” have been obtained through open-ended questions in a written form at the end of the semester. The obtained data have been examined through both descriptive and content analysis way. It is tried to see whether there are important differences between the opinions of students of classroom teacher department before and after taking the creative drama course about the creative drama method or not. Comments and suggestions are presented in line with results achieved
