Özet
Bu araştırmada ortaokul 7. sınıf Fen Bilimleri dersinde yer alan "Saf Madde ve Karışımlar" ünitesinin işlenmesinde eğitsel oyun tasarlamanın öğrencilerin problem çözme becerilerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın örneklemini Mardin ilinde yer alan bir devlet okulunda öğrenim gören 7. Sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Ön test son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desenin kullanıldığı bu çalışma deney ve kontrol gruplarında 25'er öğrencinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında "Saf Madde ve Karışımlar" ünitesi kazanımları eğitsel oyun tasarlama çerçevesinde yapılandırılarak beş hafta boyunca yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın veri toplama araçlarını Problem Çözme Ölçeği ve Yarı Yapılandırılmış görüşme Formu oluşturmaktadır. Problem Çözme Ölçeği'nden elde edilen veriler SPSS istatistik programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Forumu'nun analizinde ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler neticesinde eğitsel oyun tasarımının öğrencilerin problem çözme becerileri üzerinde olumlu bir etkisinin olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.
In this study, the effect of designing an educational game on students' problem solving skills in the processing of the "Pure Substances and Mixtures" unit in the 7th grade Science lesson was investigated. The sample of this study consists of 7th grade students studying in a public school in Mardin. his study, in which the quasi-experimental design with the pretest posttest control group was used, was carried out with the participation of 25 students in the experimental and control groups. Within the scope of the research, the acquisitions of the unit "Pure Substances and Mixtures" were structured within the framework of educational game design and carried out for five weeks. The data collection tools of the research are the Problem Solving Scale and the Semi-Structured Interview Form. The data obtained from the Problem Solving Scale were analyzed with the SPSS statistical program. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the Semi-Structured Interview Forum. As a result of the data obtained in the research, it was observed that the educational game design had a positive effect on the problem solving skills of the students.
