Öğe EFFECTS OF SALICYLIC ACID APPLICATION ON WRKY GENE IN PEPPER (CAPSICUM ANNUUM L.) SEEDLING(Parlar Scientific Publications (P S P), 2020) Ahmed, Mohammed Ahmed; Karipcin, Muhemet Zeki; Yasar, FikretThis project was developed to investigate the contribution of salicylic acid to development of pepper seedlings grown in low temperature (0 degrees C) conditions. The research was carried out in the controlled plant growing cabinet in the research-investigation area of the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Siirt University. As a vegetable material, Urartu F1 pepper type (capia) which is used in greenhouse cultivation has been used. As a dose of different salicylic acid; 0.01 and 0.05 mmol doses were applied. The dose of 0 mmol salicylic acid was used as control group. Application frequency; It was applied 1 time, 2 times and 3 times. 3 different cold application times were also investigated; 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours. The experiment was designed in randomized plots and 3 replications. In the pepper seedlings the effect of the seedlings on the WRKY genes were investigated. Considering the administration of both salicylic acids, it was found that 0.05 mmol dose had a clearer and more understanding response to the expression of WRKY gene.Öğe Effects of salicylic acid application on wrky gene in pepper (Capsicum Annuum L.) seedling(Parlar Scientific Publications, 2020) Ahmed, Mohammed Ahmed; Karipcin, Muhemet Zeki; Yasar, FikretThis project was developed to investigate the contribution of salicylic acid to development of pepper seedlings grown in low temperature (0 °C) conditions. Thus, in addition to applying a standard statistical model using different watermelon genotypes under drought stress, a new formula was also used. The present study also suggests that according to the groupings in the statistical evaluation, the genotypes in the top groups did not yield positive results; thus, the parcel data may change according to the evaluation criteria. The use of a new evaluation model comprising comparative changes in these respective studies is more accurate. In the present study, the data for TSS (total soluble solids), average fruit weight and total yield values were evaluated using both methods of analysis. In conclusion, as a result of the standard statistical analysis, genotype nos. 325 and 26 have the best group, while the evaluation according to comparative variation criteria demonstrated that genotype nos. 24, 25, 27 and 218 have the best group. Thus, the most reliable evaluation method was to use the new evaluation model comprising comparative variations.Öğe The effects of synthetic fertilizer and whey protein concentrate application on pepper plant's (Capsicum annuum L.) yield and growth(Taylor & Francis Inc, 2024) Karipcin, Muhemet Zeki; Al Benni, BilalOne of the strategies devised to address the nutritional difficulties caused by the world's increasing population is to boost productivity per unit area to expose plant potential. Because of the negative impacts of synthetic fertilizers on nature, it is critical to design environmentally friendly plant nutrition models. One of these is proteins that are obtained naturally. A study was conducted to study and compare the effects of synthetic fertilizer and whey protein concentrate on the growth and yield of pepper plants (Capsicum annuum L. cv. Mazamort)-. The experimental factors were synthetic fertilizer (SF) and whey protein concentrate (WPC). The plants treated with 5.0 and 7.5 g of WPC had the maximum plant height, widest crown length, number of branches per plant, stem diameter, leaf chlorophyll content, and leaf fresh weight. Leaf turgid weight, average number of leaves, leaf dry weight, plant total height, and crown length were all highest in plants treated with 5.0 g/application of WPC. Plants treated with 2.5 g/application WPC had the biggest leaf area. The 2.5 g/application WPC-treated plants had the highest average fruit weight and fruit number, indicating that this application had the earliest flowering time. The highest fruit diameter and fruit length were obtained from the control group. While 5.0 g/application WPC-treated plants had the highest flower bud count, fruit number, and fastest fruit ripening time, 7.5 g/application WPC-treated plants had the highest fertilized flower count. Fruit maturation was earlier in WPC-treated plants compared to SF-treated ones; while 2.5 g/application SF and 7.5 g/application WPC-treated plants had the earliest fruiting time.
