    The Mediating Role of Job Stress in the Effect of Cyberbullying on Emotional Exhaustion Levels of Employees

    This study aimed to determine the effect of cyberbullying behavior on emotional exhaustion level and whether job stress plays a mediating role in this effect. In this context, variables were examined comprehensively, and the concepts of cyberbullying, emotional exhaustion, and job stress were explained. Research hypotheses were developed by considering the studies and theoretical theories on the subject. In order to test the hypotheses, data was collected from 212 private sector employees using the convenience sampling method. The data were analyzed using SPSS and PROCESS MACRO programs. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that cyberbullying behavior positively affected emotional exhaustion through job stress. When the effect of job stress on emotional exhaustion was examined, it was seen that there was a positive effect. When the analysis findings regarding the mediating effect were evaluated, it was determined that job stress played a mediating role in the effect of cyberbullying behavior on emotional exhaustion. Although our research made some contributions to the literature, it also had some limitations. The fact that the sample in the study was selected from one province and only included private banking sector employees prevented the findings from covering the whole. It may be recommended that future studies be conducted using different sampling methods in different provinces and sectors.

    Optimizing structural parameters for accurate prediction of height and diameter relationships in Himalayan pine using artificial intelligence based neural networks

    Accurate prediction of height and diameter relationships in the context of Himalayan Pine (Pinus wallichiana) holds immense ecological significance. Leveraging the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through neural network models provides a promising avenue for achieving such predictions. This study focuses on investigating the impact of structural parameters on the accuracy of AI-based neural network models designed specifically for this purpose. By identifying the optimal combination of parameters such as the number of layers, neurons per layer, and the choice of activation functions, the research aims to enhance the precision of predictions regarding the growth patterns of Himalayan Pine. The results of this study have practical implications for ecological research and conservation efforts in the Himalayan ecosystem. By optimizing the structural parameters of AI-based neural network models, researchers can achieve more accurate predictions of height and diameter relationships for Himalayan Pine. Such predictions are instrumental for informed decision-making regarding forest management, conservation strategies, and environmental sustainability.

    Techno-economic and hybrid energy system analyses of hazelnut shell gasification based on geographical information system

    In this study, electricity generation from hazelnut shells via gasification is studied in detail using Aspen Plus and economic analysis of the hazelnut gasification is thoroughly investigated. Novel to this study, hybrid energy generation potential of hazelnut shell gasification with different alternatives including PV are explored and H2 production from hazelnut shell is simulated in Aspen Plus. Mass flow of main outlet products (CO and H2) is 1103.43 kg/hr and 81.62 kg/hr, respectively. GIS is used to define the optimum area for the proposed hazelnut shell gasification plant. The production of syngas obtained from Aspen Plus simulation is estimated as 21,286,234 Nm3/yr, NPC and IRR values of the proposed gasification plant using method of time value of money are calculated as $106,673 and 28 %, respectively. NPC and COE of hybrid renewable energy system including battery storage are calculated as $6.87 M and $0.715, respectively. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

    Doğrudan Yabancı Sermaye Yatırımlarının Borsa İstanbul’a Etkisinin Belirlenmesi

    Bu çalışmada Doğrudan Yabancı Sermaye Yatırımlarının (DYSY) BIST100 Endeksine etkisi incelenmiştir. Analizde BIST100 Endeksi bağımlı değişken olarak, Doğrudan Yabancı Sermaye Yatırımları ise bağımsız değişken olarak kullanılmıştır. Öncelikle değişkenler arasındaki eşbütünleşme ilişkisini belirlemek için, Ocak-2010 - Ocak-2018 dönemine ait aylık verilerle, ARDL Sınır Testi uygulanmış ve değişkenler arasında eşbütünleşme ilişkisi olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Daha sonra değişkenler arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisi Granger Nedensellik testi ile araştırılmış ve benzer şekilde herhangi bir nedensellik ilişkisi olmadığı belirlenmiştir.
