Öğe Analysis and numerical approximation of the fractional-order two-dimensional diffusion-wave equation(Frontiers Media Sa, 2023) Rafaqat, Kanza; Naeem, Muhammad; Akgul, Ali; Hassan, Ahmed M.; Abdullah, Farah Aini; Ali, UmairNon-local fractional derivatives are generally more effective in mimicking real-world phenomena and offer more precise representations of physical entities, such as the oscillation of earthquakes and the behavior of polymers. This study aims to solve the 2D fractional-order diffusion-wave equation using the Riemann-Liouville time-fractional derivative. The fractional-order diffusion-wave equation is solved using the modified implicit approach based on the Riemann-Liouville integral sense. The theoretical analysis is investigated for the suggested scheme, such as stability, consistency, and convergence, by using Fourier series analysis. The scheme is shown to be unconditionally stable, and the approximate solution is consistent and convergent to the exact result. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate that the technique is more workable and feasible.Öğe DISCRETIZATION OF THE METHOD OF GENERATING AN EXPANDED FAMILY OF DISTRIBUTIONS BASED UPON TRUNCATED DISTRIBUTIONS(Vinca Inst Nuclear Sci, 2021) Farooq, Muhammad; Mohsin, Muhammad; Naeem, Muhammad; Farman, Muhammad; Akgul, Ali; Saleem, Muhammad UmarDiscretization translates the continuous functions into discrete version making them more adaptable for numerical computation and application in applied mathematics and computer sciences. In this article, discrete analogues of a generalization method of generating a new family of distributions is provided. Several new discrete distributions are derived using the proposed methodology. A discrete Weibull-Geometric distribution is considered and various of its significant characteristics including moment, survival function, reliability function, quantile function, and order statistics are discussed. The method of maximum likelihood and the method of moments are used to estimate the model parameters. The performance o f the proposed model is probed through a real data set. A comparison of our model with some existing models is also given to demonstrate its efficiency.Öğe Epidemiological Analysis of the Coronavirus Disease Outbreak with Random Effects(Tech Science Press, 2021) Farman, Muhammad; Ahmad, Aqeel; Akgul, Ali; Saleem, Muhammad Umer; Naeem, Muhammad; Baleanu, DumitruToday, coronavirus appears as a serious challenge to the whole world. Epidemiological data of coronavirus is collected through media and web sources for the purpose of analysis. New data on COVID-19 are available daily, yet information about the biological aspects of SARS-CoV-2 and epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 remains limited, and uncertainty remains around nearly all its parameters' values. This research provides the scientific and public health communities better resources, knowledge, and tools to improve their ability to control the infectious diseases. Using the publicly available data on the ongoing pandemic, the present study investigates the incubation period and other time intervals that govern the epidemiological dynamics of the COVID-19 infections. Formulation of the testing hypotheses for different countries with a 95% level of confidence, and descriptive statistics have been calculated to analyze in which region will COVID-19 fall according to the tested hypothesized mean of different countries. The results will be helpful in decision making as well as in further mathematical analysis and control strategy. Statistical tools are used to investigate this pandemic, which will be useful for further research. The testing of the hypothesis is done for the differences in various effects including standard errors. Changes in states' variables are observed over time. The rapid outbreak of coronavirus can be stopped by reducing its transmission. Susceptible should maintain safe distance and follow precautionary measures regarding COVID-19 transmission.Öğe Novel Analysis of Fractional-Order Fifth-Order Korteweg-de Vries Equations(Wiley, 2022) Khoshaim, Ahmed B.; Naeem, Muhammad; Akgul, Ali; Ghanmi, Nejib; Zaland, ShamsullahIn this paper, the rho-homotopy perturbation transformation method was applied to analysis of fifth-order nonlinear fractional Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations. This technique is the mixture form of the rho-Laplace transformation with the homotopy perturbation method. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the validity and efficiency of this method. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the fractional and integer-order solutions close in on the exact result. The suggested technique was effectively utilized and was accurate and simple to use for a number of related engineering and science models.
