Öğe A RESEARCH FOR THE USAGE LEVEL OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS(Ardabil Industrial Management Inst, 2013) Kingir, Said; Sevgin, Mehmet NuriDenominated as the information age of today provided a better understanding of the value of the information day by day. The use of information technology in the globalization of the economy offers a serious competitive advantage to businesses. Even though it is foreseen to provide an economic superiority in the first place, the management information systems affect the structure and functioning of many different organizations in a positive aspect. In this context, the educational institutions that we may discuss can not be excluded. The sole aim of which is to train students in educational institutions in accordance with the objectives of the education system, the efficient use of management information systems certainly have a positive effect on this process. Decision-making processes of managers on management information systems and knowledge management provides great support to the school administrators. Management information systems in order to improve the quality of education and training in educational institutions are actively used captured that success can be said to constitute one of the pillars in the success of our young people who will shape our future. The universe of the study consists of the schools in the city centre of Diyarbakir. As the means of collecting data, questionnaire was used in the study. The data were obtained from the survey evaluated in the 18th version of Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences. Recent years researches show that there is a direct proportion between employers who value its employee's motivation and business performance and productivity raising. In a hotel which is a service business, it is very important for business profit and productivity to identify factors that increase motivation, to its employees. The aim of this research is to examine what are the factors that affect employee's motivation. Also it is another aim of this research to measure whether employees, according to their demographic charasteristics, show diferrences in evaluating factors that affect motivation. Study is based on quantitative research method. Data of this research is obtained by using questionare technique. The area of this reserch is five star hotel businesses that have 200 or over rooms and open the whole year in Bodrum. Three of these hotel businesses were selected with simple coincidince sampling technique and research data have been obtained from these businesses employees. This obtained data were analyzed with SPSS 15.0 program. At the end of the research, there identified four important dimensions and these dimensions have been assessed in terms of demographic variables.Öğe Psychological Symptom Profile of Butchers Working in Slaughterhouse and Retail Meat Packing Business: A Comparative Study(Kafkas Univ, Veteriner Fakultesi Dergisi, 2012) Emhan, Abdurrahim; Yildiz, Ahmet Sener; Bez, Yasin; Kingir, SaidIn this study we aimed to test the hypothesis that butchers have more psychological problems than any other occupation. For this purpose, we applied SCL-90-R (Symptom Check List-90 Revised) to 43 butchers working in a slaughterhouse and 39 butchers working in meat processing or packing in supermarkets, and as a control group 82 office workers. In the research, a statistical significance between butchers and the control group in that the Global Severity Index (GSI) scores (P<0.001) was found. In terms of the GSI scores, there was no significant relationship between the slaughter house workers and the supermarket workers at P<0.05. However, there were significant relationships among the somatization, anxiety, anger-hostility, and psychotism (P<0.01). As a result, when comparing the two groups, butchers, especially those who work in slaughterhouses, have higher levels of psychological disorders than the office workers.
