The specimens in ZoologicalMuseum of Gazi University collected from different regions of Turkey at different times (1997-2013) were evaluated.Acrocera laeta Gerstäcker, 1856 from Konya in central Anatolia and Ogcodes pallipes Latreille in Olivier, 1812 fromArdahan in northern east of Anatolia are recorded for the first time. Now Turkish Acrocerid fauna are ten species. Baş küçük, toraks (gövde) iyi gelişmiş, üst kısmı bombeli, bacaklar sağlam ve tüylerle kaplı, abdomen (karın) uca doğru ya küt (erkeklerde) ya da sivrilerek (dişilerde) sonlanır. Empididae familyası çeşitli beslenme alışkanlıkları gösterirler. Bunlar içerisinde en yaygın olanları avcılık (yaşayan ya da ölü böcekler ile beslenir) ve çiçek ziyaretçiliğidir (çiçek öz sularıyla beslenir). (Hilara abdominalis-group), Hilara truva sp. nov. (Hilara canescens-group), and Hilara balikesirensis sp. nov. (Hilara intermediagroup). Males and females are described and compared with related species, and male genitalia and forelegs are illustrated. The systematic position of the new species within the species groups is discussed, and a key to the Turkish species of Hilara Meigen is given.Öğe Two new species of the Hilara maura-group (Diptera: Empididae) from Turkey.(Florida Entomologist, 2012) Çiftçi, Mustafa Cemal; Hasbenli, Abdullah; Özgül, OkanTwo new species, Hilara metinaktasi Çiftçi, Hasbenli and Özgül sp. nov. and Hilara barlasi Çiftçi, Hasbenli and Özgül sp. nov., of the Hilara maura-species group are described from Turkey. Both sexes of the new species are described, genitalia and forelegs are illustrated. The relationships between the new species and related species are compared, and the systematic positions of the new species within the complexes of the H. maura-group are discussed. An updated key to species of Hilara of Turkey is given.
