Ölçme aracı olarak Kuzgun (1996) tarafından gelistirilen “Akademik Benlik Kavramı ölçegi” kullanılmıstır. Verilerin analizinde çoklu karsılastırmalar için tek yönlü varyans analizi, ikili karsılastırmalar için bagımsız t testi kullanılmıs, anlamlılık düzeyi 0.05 alınmıstır. In this article interests and abilities of students studying at the first class of Siirt Education Faculty have been examined according to various variables. “Scale of Academic Ego-Concept” developed by Kuzgun (1996) was used to collect data.
