Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and La(III) complexes were synthesized by reaction of the ligand and Cu(ClO4)(2) center dot 6H(2)O, Ni(ClO4)(2) center dot 6H(2)O, Pb(ClO4)(2) center dot 6H(2)O, Zn(ClO4)(2) center dot 6H(2)O, Cd(ClO4)(2) center dot 6H(2)O and La(ClO4)(3) center dot 6H(2)O, respectively. The ligand and its metal complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, H-1 and C-13 NMR, UV-Vis spectra, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements and mass spectra. All complexes are diamagnetic and Cu(II) complex is binuclear.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess1,5-Bis(2-formylphenyl)pentane2,6-DiaminopyridineMacrocyclic Schiff baseMacrocyclic Schiff-base complexesSynthesis and spectroscopic characterization of a new macrocyclic Schiff base formed by the reaction of 1,5-bis(2-formylphenyl)pentane and 2,6-diaminopyridine, and a study of its metal complexesArticle623456464Q3WOS:000261921800012Q32-s2.0-5814911756810.1080/00958970802251765
