Hamit, who expresses himself that he collapses to Divan poetry tradition, is known Sair-i Azam by his followers. Sair-i Azam who has repercussions by his art, besides he attracted attention by his personal life when he lived. When he was Vienna in 1922, he suddenly was out of all, and he wrote a poetry about his poverty. When this poerty, which its title is Suleyman Nazif'in Sair-i Azam, was published in the newspepars, many men of letters wrote about his situation. Faik Ali, who respects and emulates him, wrote up Sair-i Azam'a Mektup poetry. In this verse letter, he expressed that Hamit is a great poet at any time and in any case. He criticized to statesmen of the period by remarking they were responsible for Hamit's situations. Sair-i Azam'a Mektup reflects to Hamit's one life period, besides it mentioned Faik Ali's loving about Hamit.
