Under optimized conditions, products were obtained with high conversions and moderate to good enantioselectivities. The new C-2-symmetric bis(phosphinite) ligands and their palladium(II) complexes were characterized using multinuclear NMR and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies and elemental analysis.
